I create each bead using the (ancient) technique of lampworking.  This technique uses a torch to melt the glass, which is then wrapped around a mandrel.  Additional glass, in the form of a stringer,  is then added and the bead is shaped.

My jewelry consists of my own lampworked beads or fused glass.  I start with a design idea for each piece and then create the beads for that design.
